Meet the team

Veronica, Administrative Assistant

Veronica was born in beautiful Monterey County and joined CEJ Dentistry in early 2019. She is very happy she has joined our team! Veronica began her dental career in 2013 and has been working in dental office administration since. By far the best part of her job is building a bond with patients and helping them with their dental goals. When Veronica is not in the office assisting patients, she likes to spend time with her family and her two fur babies; kitty Rocky and dog Panda.

Julia, BDS, RDH

Julia graduated from Pacific Grove High School, after which she started a 6-year educational journey to a Dental Hygiene Degree. She first obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Dominican University. After her B.S. Degree she was accepted to the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene program at MCPHS. The Forsyth Dental Hygiene Program is the longest continually running Dental Hygiene program in the country. She earned a Post Baccalaureate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Upon graduating she worked in California and Nevada for several years. She then returned to Monterey Peninsula where she has been working for the last 9 years. In her free time, Julia enjoys spending time with her two boys and husband taking hikes, and cooking.

Frank, Master Dental Ceramist

Frank Mercurio has owned and operated Mercurio Dental Arts in Kensington, California for over 35 years. He received his Associate in Arts degree and Dental Technology degree from Diablo Valley College in Concord California. Frank studied Gnathological full-mouth reconstructive concepts with Dr. Peter K. Thomas and Dr. Jack Hockel. He has been actively involved in implant restorative procedures since the early 1980s. For the past six years, Frank has been incorporating CAD/CAM procedures into his laboratory (E4D technology). He has been actively involved in both designing and finishing milled restorations for single teeth, or more complex functional and esthetic patient situations. In the past, he has presented live hands-on CAD/CAM courses involving stain glaze and add-on procedures to various groups.  He currently divides his time between his lab, Mercurio Dental Arts, in Kensington and Monterey California.

 

Hiromi, RDA

Hiromi is an RDA who graduated from Monterey Peninsula College. She started her dental career with Dr. Jansen and after 14 years still strives to provide the best service to our patients. She heads up our surgery department where she works closely with our surgeon to change people’s lives by giving them a smile in a day. Hiromi enjoys finding great food and restaurants in her free time and has enjoyed her travels to Hawaii.

Maggie, RDA EF2

Maggie is an RDAEF who has been in the dental field for 7 years. After receiving her RDA from Monterey Peninsula College she continued her education at UOP in San Francisco where she received her Extended Functions and is now able to run our back office and work closely with Dr. Jansen giving patients basic fillings and providing patients with the knowledge they need to feel comfortable when they are in our office. When Maggie is outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and their dog.

Vicki is a peninsula local, raised in South County. Vicki has 30 years plus experience in the dental community while excelling in helping patients with their insurance processing. She is happy to a part of team CEJ Dentistry where she can professionally assist and comfort patients with their dental needs. Vicki is an amazing baker while also enjoying traveling, bowling and hiking. 

Montseratt, RDA

Monse received her RDA education from Monterey Peninsula College. She is an amazing asset to team CEJ as a voice for the Spanish speaking community and patients at large. She is grateful for the opportunity to use her language and excel at her licensed profession. Outside of the office Monse enjoys spending time with her family and baking.
