Initial Consultation - Only after your oral conditions are thoroughly evaluated and your desires and expectations fully communicated and understood, can Dr. Jansen intelligently structure a treatment plan for you. Review of complete medical and dental history, clinical examination, diagnostic casts and radiographs are services which help Dr. Jansen to better understand and diagnose the nature of your dental situation. These diagnostic services indicated for you plus an expression of your desires enable Dr. Jansen to plan the most appropriate treatment options available to meet your individual needs, means and desires. We will work with you to adopt a plan enabling you to maximize the benefits of our services. If necessary, Dr. Jansen will develop treatment options and explain to you the benefits and cost of each.

We believe that remaining a traditional dental practice will provide our patients with the finest dental care possible for the 21st century. In this dental office, a well-informed patient decides on his/her dental health plan with assistance from our dental professionals. We know that our Fee-for-Service practice provides the best dental care for our patients’ future.

Choice vs. Management
The claimed economics by managed care organizations are achieved by limiting or otherwise controlling the range of choices that are available to the dentist and patient. Administrative decisions and cost control, not clinical judgment, determine what procedures are approved for a patient and under what conditions for the dentist. The dental patient will automatically be eliminated from numerous options. Managed care inevitably leads to mediocre dentistry at the lowest possible cost.

It is not the intention of this office to offer mediocrity. The teaching commitment of the doctor, advanced training for the doctor, skilled staff, our world class dental laboratory support, equipment, sterilizing facilities, and years of experience in clinical practice are all dedicated to providing the best possible results for our patients. Under managed care the quality of a dental practice is not a concern. With our Fee-for-Service system you have the opportunity to participate in your own care and to make personal choices not available to you under managed care.

This office does not have any contractual agreements with third party payers. However, we are here to assist you in submitting claims to your insurance company. We do not permit outside “plans” to evaluate our skills, training and care, or dictate treatment for our practice.

In addressing dental options, we encourage you to ask yourself what you want for the future of your mouth. Good dentistry can greatly improve your life. We believe it is important to analyze every patient carefully in order to define his or her individual long-range dental health. Our goals are predicated on achieving the best possible function, comfort and appearance with the least amount of stress on your remaining teeth for the longest period of time. To achieve our goals we combine personal consultations, excellent dentistry, the finest materials, aggressive home care, professional maintenance, and self help instruction and monitoring.

We offer several methods of payment which are designed to help you and your family get the quality of dental care that you deserve. We do request payment upon services rendered. Please feel free to ask any staff member if there is anything we can do to service you.

Insurance and fees

While we gladly process insurance for patients as a courtesy, we do not accept assignment on any dental insurance. Each patient is responsible to pay for services rendered and reimbursement from dental insurance payment is directed to the insured from the dental insurance company. We would like to help you obtain maximum use of your dental insurance benefits and will send any needed information to your insurance company to ensure this. It is best if you contact your dental insurance company when you have specific concerns regarding your dental coverage. However, we are able to request estimations on dental insurance coverage for specific procedures on behalf of each patient.

Our primary goal is to provide exceptional dental care to our patients. We have found that this is not necessarily the same goal for dental insurance companies.
