Important Information Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patient,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to you and our employee’s health and safety.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our practice has followed recommended guidelines from our government and public health officials and remained open only for urgent or essential dental care. We are closely monitoring the situation and anticipate gradually expanding our office presence starting Monday, June 1st. Hygiene and periodontal maintenance appointments will also begin Monday, June 1st.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows the infection control recommendations from the American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We are committed to ensuring that our infection control procedures are current and effective.

We are now using an Air-Assisted electrostatic sprayer (fogger) that will enable us to disinfect our facility 100% naturally.

You may see some new processes when it is time for your next appointment. Please be assured that we have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.

  • You may be asked screening questions both before your appointment and when you arrive in the office.
  • We will no longer have a waiting room; you will be asked to wait in your vehicle.
  • No one will be allowed to enter the office except our scheduled patient.
  • Please call to let us know you are in the parking lot and ready to enter the office, we will come and get you.
  • Needed paperwork for your appointment can be downloaded from our website or will be brought to you in your vehicle for updating or completing.
  • You will be asked to bring a face mask to wear when you enter the office (should you not have one will be provided).
  • The office front door will be locked for everyone’s protection.
  • Before you enter the office, we will gently take your temperature with a forehead, hospital-grade thermometer.
  • Once in the office, you will be escorted to your treatment suite. No one will ever come near your room. You will not pass anyone in the hallway.
  • We will separate patients to avoid proximity.
  • We have cleared the rooms of clutter for ease of disinfection.
  • We are using all the necessary personal protective equipment; masks, face shields, and gowns.
  • You may be offered fewer scheduling options for your appointment in order to allow for physical distancing between patients.
  • We have added air filtration systems throughout the office.
  • No delivery personnel allowed in the office. Deliveries will be received outside the office.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at Curtis E. Jansen, DDS Phone Number 831-656-9394 or fill out our appointment request form.
